Our lovely hands-on clients living in Kentish Town in NW5 are looking for a flexible and calm nanny to support their three very energetic and inquisitive boys ages 4, 6 and 8 years old. There will be a mix of sole charge and shared care of the children as the parents like to be involved when they are not working and there is also the support of other members of their fully staffed down to earth household. They value a Steiner/Montessori, nature based approach.

They are looking for a nanny who loves working in a positive way with children providing them with opportunities to learn and grow thorough experiences. Successful applicants must have experience caring for multiple children (ages 4 plus) and speak a fluent level of English. You must be able to swim, be happy to travel for up to a few months at a time but usually for a week or two durig all the school holidays and be a confident driver. If you are active, musical, love singing and storytelling this would be ideal. They promote lots of outdoor play and exploration and screen-free parenting.

The ideal candidate will be positive, proactive, gentle, engaging, and imaginative. Both parents work flexibly sometimes with very long hours, so they want the nanny to be confident to take complete sole charge, take their own initiative and have excellent communication skills to work with the members of the household. The parents love to be involved as much as they can when they are not working, and they value having one to one time with each of their children. They like everyone in the household to work closely as a team and to muck in with a good team spirit.

It is essential you are honest, kind, laid back and trustworthy. The role will include taking responsibility for all care pertaining to the children and arranging stimulating and engaging age-appropriate activities supporting the children’s emotional and academic development. They would also require the nanny to cook nutritious, fresh meals and snacks for the children and to value their health-conscious sugar free diet.

They will require lots of travel therefore need flexibly during times of travel and full-time hours during school holidays, so the excellent salary reflects this. They also need flexibility for their nanny to stay overnight sometimes and accommodation will be provided with your own double room and shared bathroom with the children. There is also another private bathroom for the nanny to use.

Being flexible, adaptable, able to work under pressure and with an open-minded are key to this role. You must live close to the family due to the long hours in holidays and late finish time in term time.

LOCATION: Kentish Town, NW5

START: ASAP/January 2024

HOURS:

Monday to Friday 1-8.30 pm in term time and in holidays from 7 am to 8.30 pm

On Fridays finish earlier at 5pm when the family goes to their weekend home which is very often.

PAY: Excellent gross market rate salary depending on your qualifications and experience ranging between £55,000 to £65,000 + gross per year depending on your match to the family.

Duties include:

• All nursery duties including children’s laundry and beds

• Planning and arranging age-appropriate activities, outings, playdates and appointments

• Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children and cleaning up after

• Keeping all children’s areas clean, tidy, and organised

• Driving to and collecting the children from school when needed - a car will be provided

• Assisting the children with homework

• Running errands/ad hoc duties when required

• Babysitting up to two nights per week between Monday and Thursday if needed

• Packing and unpacking for travels (weekends, holidays, trips)

• Travel during school holidays several times each year

• Liaising with other members of the household

• Flexibility to stay overnight if needed
