1995 2.5 turbo diesel LWB Ford Autosleeper for sale (manual)
Reluctant sale of Duncan, the converted ambulance. My daughter and I bought him a few weeks ago with lots of adventures planned, having fallen in love with him and being reassured he would pass his MOT. Unfortunately, he didn’t!
As well as the advisories on the MOT there is some welding required on the underside near the wheels. The garage has quoted between £1000 - £1500 for the full repairs – this includes the mot failures and the welding
Good points:
2 sofas which convert to a large double bed
Eberspacher Airtronic diesel heater (assume working although we haven’t had the chance to check it)
Electrolux fridge (3 way fridge)
Twin hob, oven and grill
Sink with working taps
All electrics – lights, plugs etc.
Shower and toilet
]Large water tank
Gas bottle
Wiring for TV
Leisure battery
Electric hook up
Loads of storage, including bulkhead above cab
Sliding door separating the cab from living space (good for warmth and security)
You can stand up in him
The fuel leak noted on the MOT has been fixed
Low mileage for age (approx. 75,000)
Been told it’s the ‘banana engine’ which apparently is good
Registered motor caravan
Bad points:
MOT failures and welding, scrape/tear to the fibreglass body.
Would be a great project for the right person with the skills or time/money to invest. He has is full of character and has plenty of adventures left in him.
Could easily be lived in
