Ford Escort Bantam Pickup. This is a genuine ford built pickup which was only available in South Africa. Its RHD with all tax and duty paid and NOVA declaration done. Project vehicle which starts runs and drives. Will need restored as its a bit scruffy. Will also need MOTd then UK registered but we will help the new owner with all the registration paperwork.

Body - Ford built Bantam pickup. Floors in the main are good but may need minor repairs.. Inner wings are good. Needs repair in battery tray are, scuttle panel, door bottoms, bottom of rear quarters. Battery tray looks good, inner wings are good. Rear tub is good.. The saving grace is its not previously been repaired or botched up. Paintwork is very scruffy as this was a working truck. Minor scuffs and scrapes on most panels. Tailgate is just sitting in place. This car in South Africa had a canopy with a full size back door. We had a tailgate here. We do not have the bolts and checkstraps it hangs on. There are 3 tailgates here so whoever buys it can pick the best one.

Mechanics - 1600 CVH engine. Starts runs and drives and engine sounds good. Engine, box , clutch and brakes all seem to work. Will obviously need a good checkover as part of the restoration.

Interior - Original but scruffy. Bench seats. No rips but filthy. Soft style dash which has cracked and been taped up. GL style steering wheel. rev counter clocks.

Wheels - 15" S1 Turbo Wheels. Tyres are old and would need replaced

Scruffy old workhorse but will make a great starting point for a project. . Please feel free to come and see it. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
