Ford Mk1 Consul Cortina 1500. First Reg 1964. Charming old car which starts runs and drives and appears to be very good mechanically. We have the current V5 here but no real history with it.

Body - Early pre airflow MK1 Cortina. It all appears solid underneath. Its had a few repairs over the years but in the main it looks decent. The car was still MOTd up until 2020 and is now running as exempt. Its hardly been used since its last test so theres no reason why it wouldnt fly through another one. Paintwork is presentable. Its no show winner but perfectly useable. Underbonnet area could do with a wee tidy up. Looks to have had the strut tops repaired in the past. Boot area is also a wee bit scruffy and would benefit from a tidy up, but its all solid.

Interior - Red Interior which is good order. Seats are tidy. Door cards lok to have been replaced. Headlining and dash are good. Speedo doesnt seem to be working properly as miles are not going up.

Mechanics - This car starts first time every time and runs really well. Its a 1500 pre crossflow engine and standard 4 speed gearbox. The brakes and clutch are good and the steering feels nice and tight and not lots of play.

Wheels - Period Rostyle wheels possibly from a later Capri / Cortina with good tyres.

This is a good useable example, if you wanted a show car then youd need to carry out some improvements. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have armp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote
