The Company:Our client is a well–established International Food broker & distributor

Main duties:Investigating non–conformances, issuing Certificates of Analysis, approving toll manufacturing orders and auditing warehouses and factories.

The Role:– Approving new suppliers and evaluate risk assessment– Investigating non–conformances and updating with a complete report including corrective and preventive actions– Supplier monitoring and renewing audit packs documentation. This involves:– Renewing audit packs– Updating and reviewing product documentation/specification– Approving toll manufacturing orders– Arranging laboratory analyses– Responding to technical queries from customers & suppliers related to ingredients/ quality and food safety

The Candidate:– Degree or equivalent in food science, food technology, or related science discipline would be an asset– Previous work experience in Auditing in the food industry, including at least two years in a quality assurance/food safety function within food production or manufacturing– Experience investigating non–conformances– Successfully completed HACCP / ISO 9001 / BRC training courses– Successfully completed Food legislation / Food labelling training– Good communication skills – able to write and speak clearly and articulately with various stakeholders– Able to prioritise and handle change of priorities– Able to work under pressure

The Salary: between GBP35,000 pa and GBP40,000 pa DOE
