The Folio Society 1992 limited edition special binding issue of Nursery Rhymes, illustrated and signed by artist Paula Rego. Quarter bound in Nigerian goatskin over Ann Muir hand-marbled boards. Top edge gilt. Only 100 numbered copies were issued for sale to members of the Folio Society.
This copy is in near fine condition with no fading to the spine, bright gilt titling, strong marbling generally across the boards; the volume has no inscription or previous owner markings, a very tight binding (it seems unread) and bright clean pages throughout. Clean text block edges. This copy is signed by the artist but no limitation number has been added (unless erased as these were generally hand-pencilled). The slipcase is fine with negligible shelf-wear.
