An excellent new opportunity to join a globally established Real Estate firm in Central London as their Group Head of Internal Audit. You will set up and take ownership of the internal audit function. Offering excellent growth prospects and the possibility to build a team long–term. The Role:1. Audit Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive internal audit strategy aligned with the Group's objectives and regulatory requirements.Plan and coordinate internal audit activities, ensuring coverage of key business processes and risk areas. 2. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential areas of risk, providing recommendations to mitigate these risks effectively.Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to enhance the audit approach. 3. Internal Controls and Compliance: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.Collaborate with cross–functional teams to implement improvements in internal controls and processes. 4. Audit Execution and Reporting: Lead and conduct internal audits, including financial, operational, and compliance audits, to assess the reliability of financial information and the effectiveness of operational processes.Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports to senior management and the Audit Committee, highlighting findings, recommendations, and action plans.Collaborate with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders as necessary. 5. Stakeholder Communication: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.Provide guidance on internal control matters, risk management, and compliance to enhance business performance. Essential requirements: Fluent in German with business level EnglishProven experience (8+ years) in internal audit, risk management, or a related field, preferably within the real estate or property management sector.Professional certification (e.g., IIA, CA, CISA)Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and regulatory requirements.Exceptional analytical, problem–solving, and decision–making skills.Proactive and hands–on approachSelf–starter with a high degree of self sufficiencyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to lead and develop a high–performing audit team.
