You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis working varied hours 37.5 hours and in return, you will receive a starting at GBP24,307.15 and rising incrementally to GBP26,186.75.

About the Floating Support Worker role:
We're seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Redbridge team as a Floating Support Worker. In this hybrid role, you will play a vital position in supporting clients to continue living independently within their own homes.
You will be part of a diverse team that provides flexible support to its clients, aiming to enable them to continue living independently within their own homes, regardless of tenure type.
Our Redbridge Floating Support Service works across all housing tenures within the Redbridge borough to enable people with a range of support needs to maintain and sustain their accommodation and independence and/ or gain access to independent accommodation.
We believe that all our clients deserve the chance to obtain and develop skills that empower them to lead independent lives with confidence. It is our role to provide as many avenues to achieving goals and overcoming challenges as possible for our clients and we do this in a person-centred, progressive way.
A Floating Support Worker role is 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working.
Skills and experience we're looking for in our Floating Support Worker:
Experience of supporting clients to carry out tasks such as budgeting, calculating benefit entitlements and understanding rent arrears and housing options. Experience of working in a client-centred support service working with vulnerable people presenting significant levels of need and risk, with an ability to devise and deliver on action plans through high quality risk management and needs assessment. A demonstrable level of experience and understanding of the range of approaches appropriate to working with issues such as substance misuse, mental and physical ill health, dual diagnosis, challenging behaviour, risk of homelessness, offending, antisocial behaviour, social isolation, domestic violence, gang-related issues, young parents, leaving care and learning disabilities. A thorough and current understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to undertake comprehensive risk assessments. The ability to work within a strengths and recovery-based model and engage and motivate people to move towards an appropriate level of independence and inclusion. The ability to be self-motivating and manage time effectively, prioritising different areas of work according to need to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining work of a high standard.
