Search People are currently recruiting a Fire Safety Manager/ Building Safety Manager for a well respected Consultancy. The scope of the role will involve producing Safety Case and Building Safety Case reports of buildings in scope of 7 stories or 18m and new buildings regarding Golden thread information.
This role can be based anywhere in the UK.
The primary objective of this role is to safeguard life, property, and the broader environment from the potential risks of fire. Additionally, it involves ensuring that projects align with industry codes and legislative standards. The incumbent will also offer guidance to clients on effectively managing the Safety Case Report. While the position may predominantly involve desk based reviewing documentation and reporting on safety cases based on client-provided materials, there is a possibility of on-site work when needed. The role also includes liaising with local authorities and regulatory bodies as necessary.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Fire Safety Manager/ Building Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality fire consultancy to clients.
fire strategies, fire safety management plans, fire risk assessments, compartmentation surveys, fire door surveys, and external wall surveys. Deliver safety case reports and possess knowledge of Fire Strategies and Fire Safety Management Plans. Stay updated on current legislation, relevant standards, guidelines, and technical developments. Adapt reports to align with legislative changes. Respond promptly to client work requests and proposals. Exhibit exemplary client management skills and foster strong client relationships. Contribute to project delivery within specified timelines and budgets. Manage resources efficiently and conduct regular project reviews. Adhere to all financial procedures during project delivery. Utilize technical tools and methodologies. Provide competent support to clients on the golden thread of information and safety case reports. Quality assurance of safety case reports Deliver against personal and divisional KPIs. . Support Junior team members and create a collaborative team environment Ensure compliance with site safety practices during site work. Experience Needed
Level 6 health and safety qualification, eg NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ if possible CIOB or CABE. NEBOSH Fire certificate, Level 3 or level 4 diploma for fire risk assessment, degree or advanced FPA fire course. IOSH, IFSM, IFE, IIRSM. Grad IFE, MIFSM MIIRSM membership Experience interpreting and implementing complex safety management systems either on a global scale, or in medium/ high risk industries Significant experience in a Health and Safety Fire role working with an established Health and Safety and Fire Management System Extensive knowledge of UK HSF regulations and experience in practical implementation Operational site experience Analytical with strong report writing skills and the ability to prioritise and schedule objectives to optimise time, cost and quality Positive approach to change. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills with a proactive and creative approach with a commitment to providing a 5 star service and have innovative methods to make improvements.
