The camera itself is great for a "point and shoot" camera. It takes good crisp photos and the camera functions well. Being a "point and shoot" camera and not an SLR, the camera does all of the work of focusing and adjusting light and aperture settings. It does have a real lens system so it can zoom optically, not just digitally. Optic zoom is far superior to digital zoom because you are using the lens to zoom, not just blowing up part of the picture and pixelating the photo.
