Financial Reporting Manager – Lancashire – Permanent – Up to GBP55,000 + Benefits with hybrid and agile working
Our client is a housing association based in Lancashire, and we are seeking to fill the role of Financial Reporting Manager. The role will be a key member of the SMT and you will be managing a focussed and highly motivated finance team.
THE ROLE
As Financial Reporting Manager, you will ensure the delivery of an operational finance function, ensuring robust financial control. Coaching and mentoring an ambitious team a key deliverable will be that the team delivers an efficient, accurate, and consistent finance service, and be accountable for the coordination and delivery of financial and management accounting services.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and co–ordinate the delivery of Finance Partnering Services to budget holders and Directors, both supporting and challenging key stakeholders.Provide monthly management information and financial reports for the Executive Team and Board.Lead the annual budget process, engaging budget holders and the wider Finance team and other stakeholders.Lead and co–ordinate the financial year end including preparation of the financial statements through to external audit liaison and completion.Responsible for accurate submission of any regulatory returns and associated financial analysis.Be a proactive champion of continual improvement by initiating and leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the finance system. THE PERSON
You will ideally be a qualified accountant with strong financial control and reporting skills. You will have experience of working within housing or a similar regulated industry.An excellent communicator at all levels, you will be able to both support and challenge the stakeholders and your peers to enable the team and department to flourish and develop best practice.You will be a natural leader and mentor to the team to enable them to develop themselves and engender a customer led culture.
