About the role

This Financial Controller role will be the number one finance person in the business and after joining will then be in the prime position to become the Head of Finance with the necessary performance and development. The Financial Controller reports into the CEO and COO and will lead a growing team, a key deliverable will be to get the best out of that team, coaching, mentoring and developing those individuals.

Key responsibilities

Ownership of all matters relating to financial performance, communication of this to board and senior managementMaintaining a robust financial control and compliant environmentLeading the budgeting, forecast and planning processes. Managing and developing the finance team to be 'best in class'Providing timely and accurate financial reporting and performance analysis to all stakeholdersEnsuring the processing of all financial transactions is highly efficient and accurateCashflow managementOwnership of audit process and relationshipMaintaining and managing excellent banking relationshipActively promote best practice and encourage profitable growthDrive cost reduction projects across the whole businessFinancial Controller Person profile

ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent with post qualified experiencePrevious management experience in a fast paced environmentRetail, Consumer, Wholesale experience strongly preferredStrong and ambitious character with ability to influence change Excellent communication skills across all levels and contexts, as well as with non-finance stakeholders A proactive "can-do" approachThe ability to constructively challenge accepted methods within the businessExperience in analysing large amounts of data and making recommendationsFinancial Controller Package
