Our client, a dynamic Kent-based accountancy firm with a national presence, is dedicated to supporting businesses and clients across the UK. With a team of over 150 highly skilled and dedicated professionals, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional client-focused services.
Due to continued expansion, they have an opportunity for a Financial Controller with at least 12 months experience to join their professional team.
About the Role:
Working within the treasury department, you will assist the Partners with a range of Partnership functions, including:
Regular bank reconciliations and associated transactions. Posting transactions on both QuickBooks and Xero software. Month end Management Accounts, including journals. Managing day to day transactions. Work closely with Treasury Partners to support cost control within budgets. Manage workload and performance of Treasury team members. Preparing financial documents such as invoices, accounts payable and receivable. Preparing and making payment runs. Submitting BACS transactions. General accounts administration, including maintaining files.
Working Hours:
This is a full-time office-based position, the standard hours are 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
About You:
The successful candidate should:
Be at least AAT qualified. Have previous experience of using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Xero. Have excellent verbal and written English, including a high level of grammar, spelling and punctuation. Be a self-motivated, logical thinker with a professional attitude. Have a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to remain accurate under pressure. Hold good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Have a minimum of 12 months in a previous role.
The ability to work well under time constraints, as well as attention to detail and the confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels are all essential qualities that our client is looking for.
