My client is in the process of restructuring to cope with current and future growth plans, and this opportunity has arisen for a strong Financial Controller. The business operates in the FMCG sector, so is fast paced and dynamic, as well as rapidly changing and evolving.

Description

As Financial Controller you will enjoy a key role in the business and will have an opportunity to make a difference, add value and have excellent career exposure.

The overall remit will require you to report to the CFO and lead a team. You will prepare and report on financial statements, ensure that the accounts are accurate and reliable, and provide strategic support to the CFO and Managing Director

Specifically your remit will include:

Line management of the Accounts team

Management of financial statements including annual audit of the manufacturing division

Management of monthly performance vs. business plans

Cashflow management

Manage the transactional processes of invoicing and payables through your team

Monthly salary coding and analysis vs. budget and forecast

Preparation of the annual Budget and Reforecast

Manage the maintenance of the rate cards for all customers

Manage the financial aspects of finance systems including Prophet and Qlik

Management of monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

Management of submission of Corporation tax, VAT and national statistics

Assist the Managing Director and CFO as appropriate

Profile

The successful Financial Controller should have:

A formal accountancy qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA

Experience of managing a sizeable transactional finance team

The ability to provide insight and analysis, commercial support and challenge

Experience in a similar operational environment – FMCG, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, etc.

Strong systems skills – Prophet / Qlik experience would be ideal!
