Description
The Financial Controller (Head of finance) will play a key role in the running of the business, and reporting of financials to the Parent, local MD and PE investors.
You will be responsible for managing the finance department, delivering accurate and timely results, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
You knowledge and insight will play a key role in providing strategic financial guidance to the leadership team and driving the financial position forward.
Specific responsibilities include:
Financial Planning and Analysis – Developing and implementing strategies, plans and budgets which are in line with the goals of the businessUndertaking financial analysis, forecasting and modelling to support decision–making and identify areas for improvementMonitoring and analysing performance, variances and risks.Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash–flow statementsEnsuring compliance with all relevant statutory rules, regulations and reporting requirements.Oversight of the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholdersLeading the budgeting and forecasting process, working with key personnel to create achievable and realistic goals.Monitor and control expensesEstablishing and maintaining robust financial controlsIdentify, monitor and mitigate risksTeam management and development Profile
The ideal candidate for this Financial Controller position will meet the following requirements:
Qualified Accountant with significant relevant experienceAbility to operate in a fast moving organisation with varying reporting requirements which may overlapStrong knowledge of accountancy principles, regulations and standardsIdeally you will have experience within a similar environment – Engineering, Construction, Work in Progress, % completion etcExcellent communication and leadership skills, able to develop staff and manage upwards.Able to work in the offices (Maidstone) 4+ days per week Job Offer
Base salary of GBP70–80,000 + benefits
