Financial Controller – Retail Maternity Cover Contract Salary Up to GBP70k DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance professional to join a design company based in Gloucester.

This is a fully office based maternity cover contract where you will be responsible for managing all the day–to–day financial operations for this design focused retail company.

Responsibilities include:

Delivery and preparation of monthly management accounts and key financial reportsUnderstanding and completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliationsInvestigating and explaining variances to budgetSupport with budget preparationOwning year–end accounting processes in preparation of statutory auditActive involvement in audit processWorking with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions to support the organisation.Cash management and cash analysis, presented to management on a weekly basis.Treasury management – maximising payment terms and preserving cash.Support with monthly payrollControl of business systems, providing insight and challenge to fellow senior managersManagement of an Accounts Assistant, which includes Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) providing guidance and supportYou may be required to undertake additional duties as are necessary to promote the smooth and efficient running of the business. What Experience is Required:

CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualificationExperience using an ERP system or a financial system with WMS and eCommerce integration– Bright Pearl desirableExperience working in a D2C/Retail environment or similar. Salary & Benefits:
