NOW Careers is exclusively partnering with a Pontypridd based Community Housing Organisation to recruit a Qualified Financial Analyst to join its finance team.
Reporting into the Head of Corporate Services, the role will predominantly be to conduct in–depth financial analysis to support the organisation's strategic decision–making. The successful candidate will be able to carry out comprehensive Financial modelling to review business opportunities as well as data analysis to evaluate the organisations financial performance, future plans, whilst identifying key areas and opportunities for improvement.
The main duties of the role will include –
Analysing financial data to assess and report on financial health, and the viability of future plans.Collaborating with business areas, and finance business partners to develop financial projections, supporting the long–term business plan.Evaluating potential investment and disinvestment opportunities by conducting financial analysis, due diligence and preparation of reports to support the business decisions.Assisting the Head of Corporate Finance with the development of the long–term business plan.Supporting the development of scenario modelling, appraisals and stress tests to assess the viability of the long–term business plan, assisting with identifying appropriate mitigations.Supporting the wider business with financial modelling; grant, development and other CAPEX appraisals; and financial analysis, enabling and ensuring effective decision–making. Assisting with the development of effective reporting to support key decision making following analysis and appraisal of opportunities and proposals.Identifying financial risks and proposing strategies to mitigate them, performing sensitivity analysis where necessary to evaluate potential impacts on financial performance.Keeping up to date with industry trends, economic conditions and competitors/partners/peers performance to give informed advice and suitable recommendations. The successful candidate will ideally be a CCAB Qualified Accountant or similar with minimum 3 years post qualified experience. You will possess significant experience in financial analysis and interpreting the results for a wide range of stakeholders, whilst preparing long term business plans. You will have demonstrable experience of line management of direct reports within a finance team and have advanced analytical and problem–solving skills, evidencing clear attention to detail
