Reporting to the Financial Accounting and Control Manager. Responsible for delivering timely, accurate and controlled period–end processes, monitoring and reconciling the general ledger accounts and managing payments and payment facilities. Maintaining accurate and efficient processing, ensuring the integrity and the reliability of financial controls. Enabling timely financial information to be provided to budget holders and other stakeholders. Management of the balance sheet reconciliation process.Month and year–end processes include managing the month–end timetable, uploading journals to the finance system and managing monthly intercompany journal postings etc. Management and operation of all payments systems and processes, including BACS, online banking, foreign payments, and cheque banking. Provision of support to the Financial Accountants in the preparation of statutory returns and compliance reporting. What you'll need to succeed
Great double–entry experience. Experience with journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets. Excellent IT skills, including MS Excel. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify, investigate and interpret anomalous transactions and provide solutions. Great interpersonal skills and a confident communicator.
