We are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded organisation in Cambridge to recruit a Financial Accountant. Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will assist the organisation with their Financial and Regulatory obligations. You will be key to drive process improvements across the Finance team and enhance accounting models, calculations, and policies. You will project manage the annual audit cycle and lead on the annual statutory accounts, whilst building relationships with external auditors and tax experts.

As the Financial Accountant, key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Take ownership of the FRS 102 models- operation these monthly whilst modelling best practice.Support the Financial Controller with monthly financial reporting.Take ownership of the fixed asset register.Review all Balance Sheet reconciliations performed by the finance processing team during the month-end process.Support in preparing regulatory returns.Lead on the preparation of the annual statutory accounts, including liaising with external auditors and tax experts for the timely execution of financial reporting.

The ideal candidate for the position will be a qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant and have a strong understand of the requirements of FRS102 and IAS39.

In return, salary is up to 50,000, depending on individual experience, as well as 24 days holiday+ Bank Holidays, discretionary bonus, private healthcare and hybrid working.
