We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented individual to join our team and contribute to financial excellence as a Financial Accountant. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our business success by ensuring adherence to tax regulations and optimising financial processes.
Some of your responsibilities as the Financial Accountant will include:
Monthly computation and submission of VAT for the UK, Ireland, and Malta. Expertly handle Plastic Packaging Tax and Intrastat submissions. Champion annual tax reporting to authorities.Investigate and resolve VAT errors on sales and purchase transactions. Collaboration with the business to minimise future errors.Ensure correct supplier Incoterms for imports for accurate VAT and duty reporting. Verify and reconcile VAT and duty records. Collaborate with other departments for weekly checks and reconciliations. Act as the primary contact & champion for all tax-related queries. Prepare information for P11D/PSA and corporation tax submissions. Collaborate with external tax consultants. Support the Finance Manager with disclosures. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure timely tax-related payments.
