Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a reputable business in Bradford as they look to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. You will report directly into the Finance Director and be their number 2 in the busy and vibrant finance function. The role predominately takes responsibility for overseeing the financial accounts of the company, whilst also acting as an effective stakeholder.

Job responsibilities:

Daily banking control and report covering multiple sterling and foreign currency bank accountsAuthorisation of Bills of ExchangePayment control for purchase ledger and trade paymentsForecast and purchase of USD requirementShort term cash flow forecasting, monitor facilities and ensure within limitsInvoice financing facility monitoring and reconciliationsMonitoring customer rebates, incl. preparing/checking settlements via various meansIdentify and adjust for accruals and prepaymentsMaintain the fixed asset registerReconciliation of control accountReconciliation of intercompany balancesPreparation and posting of journal adjustmentsResponsible for petty cash, including month end summary and reconciliationMonth–end reconciliations and ledger close off for all ledgers (sales, purchase, nominal)Preparation, review and analysis of monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgetsCoordinating and assisting with annual statutory auditOversea the purchase ledger department and providing guidance to broader finance teamInvolvement in establishing new systems and processes, and improvements to financial reporting, to facilitate the planned growth of the groupPreparation and submission of VAT returns for 3 companiesDealing with insurance claims To be considered for the role, you must be either ACCA/CIMA/ACA or Part–Qualified. manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
