Finance Officer required to join a public sector organisation based in Manchester. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Finance Officer to join their dynamic and growing team on a Full-time, Permanent basis.
As the Finance Officer you will support the Head of Finance and supervise 1 member of staff, alongside the various duties below:
Key responsibilities of the Finance Officer
Monthly budget, suspense account, petty cash and bank account reconciliationsPreparation of monthly VAT returnsValidate the entries on the spreadsheetChecking of weekly and monthly payrollChecking purchase ledger payments prior to approvalProcessing payroll and purchased ledger transactions in the absence of the Payroll AdministratorSupervise the HR/Payroll AdministratorRequired skills and experience of the Finance Officer
Ideally AAT Qualified / Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalentExcellent knowledge of SAGE or similar IT systemExperience processing payrollUnderstanding of Purchase Ledger and dealing with invoice queriesStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise responsibilitiesDemonstrates initiative whilst able to take direction
