My client is a not-for-profit organisation based in Nottingham that has been dedicated to providing relief and development services for over two decades. Employing a workforce of over 500 people, this company specialises in community development, emergency relief, and public health projects.

Description

The Finance Officer will report directly to the Finance Manager. Duties of the Finance Officer include:

Assisting in developing an annual monitoring and audit plan using appropriate methods.Preparation of financial statements and reports

Overseeing budgeting and financial forecasting activities

Execution of financial audits and reviews

Implementation of financial controls and procedures

Ensuring compliance with financial regulations

Contribution to the finance department's continuous improvement

Profile

The successful candidate will:

Be studying a professional accounting qualification ACCA/ACA/CIMA

Have experience in assurance, controls and/or compliance related roles

Have experience in evaluating control designs and operating effectiveness under an internal control frameworkProficiency in financial software and MS Office

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Excellent attention to detail

Be willing to travel globally

Job Offer

The successful candidate can expect a starting salary up to 34,000 + an immediate start + 3 days home working + an opportunity for a permanent role + free parking available + 28 days annual leave + 3 additional days
