The Opportunity
This is a newly created role as a number 2 to the Finance Director.

Following impressive early-stage organic growth, this service-based business has since completed several acquisitions, including two internationally in 2023.
They have an enviable blue-chip customer base and an expanding workforce of talented professionals across the UK, Europe, and North America.
The business was born in the North East of England, and although it now has multiple office locations including headquarters in London, the leadership team and the finance team still work from home.
The Role
You will supervise a small transactional finance team of 3 people and will lead all aspects of financial reporting.
The group has a number of entities, so you won't just be churning out the same numbers every month - you'll need to understand and interpret results to influence performance, whilst providing a consolidated picture of the overall group.
You'll lead statutory reporting for the UK, and you'll also liaise with auditors overseas.
About You
You'll be an accountant with a broad-based management, financial, and statutory accounting skills.
You may have trained in practice and moved into industry, or you may have dealt with statutory reporting in an industry-based role.
You may be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or qualified by experience, but you'll be able to work both independently and collaboratively, whilst leading a team remotely.
