Description

If you've been on an upward career trajectory and are looking for your first No.1 role, you'll want to keep reading.

As Finance Manager, you'll spearhead the finance function, joining the senior management team from day one.

But you'll have the support and mentorship from an experienced external FD, to help shape your strategic thinking and manage your time for effective project delivery.

Additional training with an advisor and coach will keep sharpening your skills, and as the company grows, your position will grow too.

You will get flexibility on when you start and finish and the option to work from home up to three times a week.

About the role

Supporting the FD with the preparation of timely monthly management accounts and KPI reports, your work will influence decision–making.

You'll help produce and maintain accurate budgets and forecasts and undertake financial analysis on a project basis, presenting your results at monthly management and quarterly Board meetings.

You will also manage working capital and external relationships with auditors and banks.

In this role, you'll build, grow, and support the finance team, currently consisting of the Finance Assistant and Credit Controller, overseeing the purchase and sales ledgers with their assistance.

About you

You'll be a qualified accountant, who is ready to lead a finance function.

While team leadership experience isn't mandatory, your innate leadership skills and strong management accounts background set you apart.

You may have progressed in a similar–sized organisation but you're ready to apply your management and accounting skills.

Or maybe you've trained in a larger corporation, but you're able to adapt and you now want to be a key player in a privately–owned family business, to drive growth and development.

You will be open–minded, always ready to learn new things, and determined to develop yourself and your skills.

And your confidence in liaising with staff at all levels is evident as you drive improvements to achieve business goals.

A manufacturing background and understanding of WIP is desirable but not essential.
