Description

Are you an accountant looking for a role where you can act as a finance business partner?

Seeking a new challenge where you'll drive profit and operational decision-making?

With the personal security and confidence of working large, profitable business?

If you've developed your accounting skills in manufacturing, then this could be the ideal role for you.

What will you be doing?

As number 2 to the Financial Controller, you'll oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to help with key decisions.

You will run the day-to-day of the finance function, taking responsibility for management accounts, statutory accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and cashflow.

You'll initially manage two direct reports, offering support and mentoring. As you grow in your role, the number of direct reports and responsibility for developing staff will also grow.

You will also create and monitor operational KPI's that support the performance of the department.

You'll lead continuous improvements of processes and controls, and you will liaise with all departments, developing and maintaining cross-functional relationships across the business including sales and commercial teams.

About you

You will have worked in the manufacturing sector.

You are analytically minded, with experience working with ERP systems, and consider one of your strengths to be developing systems and processes.

You have experience managing a team and enjoy mentoring and developing staff.

You are a team player, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and you can liaise well at all levels, with the ability to challenge a senior team.

You are organised and detail-orientated, and you are driven to produce high-quality information and insight.

What's in it for you?

The chance to take responsibility, in a role where you will be given autonomy to make the role your own and really make a difference to the success of the business (and your future).

Although the business is part of a group containing several household names, this site retains its family feel, and you'll operate as part of a down-to-earth, close-knit team where people have enjoyed long, progressive careers.

There is also flexibility around your start and finish times, to suit your commitments.
