I am partnered with a scaling Proptech business in search for a Finance Manager to join the team. You will hold responsibility for overseeing the finance function (with the support of 2 juniors) but crucially have an eye for process improvement and a desire for process design in order to create a best in class function. You will need to be commercially and strategically minded and possess good financial modelling skills. An eagerness to contribute in the wider business strategy but also a readiness to be hands on in the 'nitty gritty' is key.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and management of the finance function in partnership with the CFO, being an expert for the businessTake charge for ensuring that the money in and out of the business is correctly allocated, reconciled, and reported onEnsure the correct rents are collected from Tenants and transferred to Landlords, flagging to the Property Managers if any rents are unduly delayedEnsure relevant money is held on accounts for management fees, pre-approved contractor invoices, and any appropriate service chargesEnsure the accounts are always reconciled and our balances are consistently updated to reflect the true state of the accountLead on regular account audits: ensuring all money in the client account is accurately allocatedCoordinate monthly and annual statements of account to send to clientsBe a main point of contact for larger clients and an escalation point for the teamLiaise with external services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary, including HMRCDrive process improvement and review of finance templates and systems, ensuring they are fit for purpose i.e. sales ledgerManagement and growth of a small finance team from attraction and retention to development and motivationReview financial dataResponsible for ensuring our Finance system MRI is workingStay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposesUnderstand and adhere to financial regulations and legislationEstablish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the companyRequirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent)Ideally prior experience of managing a small teamDemonstrated experience in process improvement and system integration is keyStrong communication skills, both written and verbalA problem solver and solution finderExcel and/or Google Sheets championHybrid working in a central London office, joining a dynamic, social team with some impressive individuals.
