Overview:
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Sales and Commercial Finance teams, ensuring seamless execution of customer contracts, alignment with eco-friendly practices, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Finance:
- Provide valuable commercial support throughout the lifecycle of customer contracts, from bidding to execution.
- Manage rebate contracts and renewals, ensuring timely execution and providing statistical analysis.
- Develop a deep understanding of the client, its products, and customers.
- Support contract control and analysis, collaborating with legal teams and credit management.
- Contribute to debtor level oversight and query resolution.
Management Accounts:
- Investigate and critique numbers for accuracy, supporting sales and margin budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Assist cost center owners with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Support month-end processes as necessary.
Systems and Reporting:
- Provide effective and accurate management reporting and KPI tracking for sales and margins, aligning the clients principles.
- Drive transparency in SKU, Customer, and segment margins through effective reporting.
- Support the setup and control of customer rebates, emphasizing eco-friendly practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes with a sustainability focus.
Compliance:
- Ensure assurance and segregation of duties between sales and finance.
- Adhere to relevant delegated levels of authority, local controls, and statutory reporting requirements .
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors as required.
- Coordinate purchase ledger activities, resolving queries for timely supplier payments.
- Administer supplier setup and master data with a commitment to sustainability.
- Support the investigation of balance sheet purchase accounts.
- Assist in implementing pricing methodologies and controls.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent finance experience.
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant.
Skills & Experience:
- Preferred experience in manufacturing or distribution business.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong relationship builder.
