Description

We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.

We have a brand new, exciting opportunity here at Havebury Housing, for a Finance Apprentice (2 year FTC) to join our incredible finance team! The purpose of this role is to gain a holistic view of the Finance function within Havebury starting within the Accounts Payable team to assist with in the provision of the payments function. In the first six months you will ensure all suppler payments are made accurately and on-time. In addition, this role must ensure that all accounting related to the payments is correctly and timely reflected in the general ledger. You will complete this role alongside completion of a qualification with one day per week allocated for study leave.

Assist in the day-to-day Payments functionMaintaining purchase ledger records, including creating new supplier accounts, names and addresses, suppliers' payment terms & bank detailsAssist with use of the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) invoice system and P2P (purchase to pay) system including registering and releasing purchase invoices/credit notesLearn and suggest process improvement for the management of council tax and utility invoices and refundsProcess compensation, rent refunds and adhoc payments as requiredProcessing Cx tasks for rent refunds and closing once payment processed We are looking for someone who has
