Salvo, a prominent Italian food wholesaler, is seeking an energetic Field Sales Executive, internally referred to as a Brand Manager, to join our dedicated sales team. This role will initially cover the South West of England around Bristol, and the following postcodes: BA, BS, CF, EX, GL, HR, JE, TA.

We are in search of a Field Sales Executive (Brand Manager) to assist existing customers with their requirements, ensuring they increase their weekly spending. The Brand Manager will also actively seek out new customers while keeping existing ones informed by promoting established brands and introducing new launches. This is aimed at encouraging increased product purchases across various categories, including wines, ambient, chilled, and frozen items.
By offering expertise in innovation, Italian regional distinctions, seasonality, New Product Development, and menu creation, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our customers' experience.

Position: Field Sales Executive (Brand Manager)
Location: In the field South West of England (Bristol area) - ad-hoc travel to London head office and to Italy for supplier training.
Hours: 8:30am to 17:30pm Monday to Friday.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain relationships with customers that sell the company's products.
Work alongside the marketing department to learn and implement the company marketing strategy at events and on customer visits.
Understand the company's vision, mission, goals, products to represent the brand's voice and personality at various events and at customer meetings - deep diving into core suppliers brands and positioning their products above the competition.
Understand competitor brands and how our products differentiate from them.
Share ideas with commercial and marketing teams around new ways to promote the brand, using experience in the field.
Alongside the marketing team, tracking campaigns, metrics and customer preferences, taking action as required.
Monitoring feedback from customers and escalating complaints to the company's marketing, customer support and commercial teams.
Conduct regular product testing, educating yourself on new products to the market, ensuring that product knowledge is to the highest level.
Planning customer visits in an efficient way to maximise time in the field.
Understand customer and their needs, carrying yourself in a professional yet relatable way, and adapting your selling style to grow or win new business.
Promoting the companies online platform including the new ordering app.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience in selling to a variety of clients within the Italian food sector.
Adaptable and tenacious.
Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships.
Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills.
Prioritising, time management and organisational skills.
A passion for Italian food - an ex-chef or foodie would be ideal.
