# I do try my best to offer a fair price on things I sell & mark all my adds NO OFFERS. I do still get them, I’ve just stood my ground so far with this particular guitar (-: I’m expecting to move back to London this month or next which should take the long drive out of the equation for a lot of the views I’m getting and potential buyers
Maybe it’s just a New Year thing but I’ve decided to drop the price a little more for no better reason than it would be one less thing to take with me. I’m still not looking for offers lol but if you want one of these judging by what other sellers are asking you will pay more #

I have had some interest in my AVRI but as usual the trip to Dumfries seems to be what’s stopping someone making the trip. I’m fairly sure the first person to play this will take it but just to give a heads up I should have returned to London in the early part of 2023 & got stuck. Fortunately my circumstances have now changed & I should finally move South in either Jan or Feb but regarding this guitar I will take £980 in cash for a sale in Dumfries, otherwise will re advertise once I’m re-settled, just in case you were still considering it. Unless this ad is mark ON HOLD here at the top the guitar is still available (-: #
Note : I’ve had a couple of people ask if I know the exact year for this guitar. The seller told me he was sure this was either a 2011 or a 2012 guitar, my internet research has this particular guitar first issued in 2011. Today (18/12/23) my curiosity got the better of me and I finally took the neck off. I think that’s a pretty clear 2010 there & ‘Alcantar’ works for Fender in California USA, so that neck looks all ready for final assembly and release in 2011, even possibly in the stores for Christmas 2010. I’m genuinly quite surprised this guitar has not sold yet, ‘price is by far the lowest USA version I can see of this guitar anywhere. The key factor is most probably the trip to Dumfries!
#… not looking for swaps on this, sorry (-:#
if you are familiar with the American Vintage series you will already know these are excellent guitars & this particular model not so common on the used market. The previous owner of this Telecaster was sure this is either a 2011 or 2012 guitar - not sure if you can date exactly from V number - but what does set it apart from other re-issues of the '72 Telecaster Custom is a nitro lacquer finish and the light weight. This guitar weighs in at a very comfortable 7lbs 6oz’s & of course it is made in the USA
comes with original G&G hard case and all the original paperwork, including the ‘Ashtray’ cover which usually gets ‘lost’!
The guitar is currently properly set up with a set D’darrio 9’s and is a very resonant instrument which plays acoustically well even before you use amplification. There are a few marks on this guitar and I have tried my best to show in the images but unless you especially want a pristine example it’s really not bad at all once you see it and play it

I’m not currently looking for offers on the £980 asking price, other sellers of USA / AVRI Fenders seem to asking for prices much higher, I understand it’s always tricky to find that right balance between a satisfied customer and a satisfied seller but I can also see a couple of reverb options asking £1200+ for Japanese Telecaster Custom ‘72s and whilst I’m well aware there are excellent Fenders made in Japan I would argue that an original USA AVRI Fender feels different & will retain more value,
I would very much like cash on collection and due to the value this guitar would need to be collected. If you have a bit of a drive where you need a day or two or three to get to Dumfries I fully understand and am happy to hold providing you are all provisionally all ok with the asking price and can confirm a date
other than that, thanks for reading (-:
