Tradewind secondary are are recruiting for a modern and purpose built academy in Watford for a member of staff to support with Girls PE. The successful PE teacher or Sports coach will help with the delivery of PE lessons to girls in key stages 3 and 4 (years 7-11) and help inspire a love of learning for PE, exercise and nutrition.
The school is open to applications from those in the early stages of their career and can offer superb support with dedicated mentors and a great Head of Department and Faculty leader. Lessons and workload can be structured accordingly and the school are also very keen to received applications from experienced PE teachers available from January or Easter. Attitude, professionalism and enthusiasm are key attributes. The school has the best results for a non selective school in the south of Hertfordshire and offer a great, lively and social PE team.
To be considered for this role in Watford, you should hold relevant qualifications and background knowledge to support PE learning. A degree and/or PGCE qualification for qualified teachers is ideal, however applicants with experience teaching on an instructor or unqualified basis are also encouraged to apply. Key Requirements:
Relevant knowledge or degree in Physical Education or Teaching
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) qualification & QTS (ideal but not essential)
Enthusiasm and the ability to engage with secondary aged pupils
Passionate about physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles
A tenacious approach and positive attitude
Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent planning, organisation, and time-management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
