THE BUSINESS
Our client is a market leading construction chemicals company based in Suffolk who specialize in the formulation and production of construction materials. Our client is a multi-national company, with operations in over 20 countries, and over 90 years of experience serving the construction industry with innovative products and solutions. The company specializes in developing, manufacturing, and marketing innovative construction materials, and offer one of the most extensive product ranges on the market.
THE ROLE
Direct daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines. Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity. Leads the Engineering and Maintenance teams in the development of the plant layout, manufacturing process improvement, equipment specification, procurement, installation, and preventative maintenance. Analyses operating procedures and machinery functions to reduce processing time and cost. Implementing systems and procedure to control quality of manufactured products in comply with local and group HSE requirements Keep all operations clean and organized Training and managing staff to achieve highest level of professionalism Follow up all customer complaints and identifying any issues relating to operations and taking required preventive actions to prevent future reoccurrence Strictly implement all maintenance and calibration schedules for production and QC equipment Works with Production Manager to suggest, specify, justify and install new equipment and processes and Lead in the development of the capital equipment plan Directs research activities to develop new and improved manufacturing processes. Material planning, running the forecast on a daily basis and coordinating with purchasing department to place the needed orders. Organizing and planning finished products distribution and delivery to customers. Effectively manage the warehouse stock control, ensuring stock availability, placing orders as and when required Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, minimum inventory level, etc)
THE PERSON
BS in chemical engineering, mechanical/Industrial Over 6 years experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills
