Job title: Extrusion Team Leader
The role:
Monitoring of safety, quality, and production performance versus agreed targets, implementing corrective actions as required. Delivering shift performance in line with the SHE strategy. Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for all, engagement of shift in the reporting of See it Sort it Report it and closing out actions. Delivering on KPI s for sustainable Quality. Investigating any failure in the quality management system, liaise with our quality team to investigate customer complaints. Develop line side Gemba walks engaging with Operations team to close out off target performance and report upwards People - Identify skills gaps and training requirements, design development plans to upskill the team and identify opportunities for succession Identifying opportunity for productivity savings, working closely with the CI team to deliver year on year unit cost reduction. Working with the planning team to agree production plan, execution of agreed plan with handshake through to Yard .
The candidate:
Have a passion for manufacturing and attention to detail in all tasks completed. Proven track record of leading and motivating a team. Demonstrate working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and change management. Working knowledge of manpower management systems within a manufacturing environment. Self-motivated individual with the flexibility to adapt and a willingness to develop new skills. 5 years demonstrable experience in a similar manufacturing environment. Demonstrate effective team leadership and development, problem analysis, problem solving and process improvement skills. Able to deal with arising issues and solving them in an appropriate and timely manner and prioritise accordingly Willingness to take ownership of decisions Minimum of IOSH managing safely Good communication and interpersonal skills, both in terms of keeping people informed and providing constructive feedback. Must have experience of coaching and developing a team, providing expertise in process improvement techniques to achieve business objectives. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: GBP42300 GBP42500p/a
Hours: 24/7 shift pattern, 2x days (7am - 7pm), 2x nights (7pm - 7am), 4 days off
