Freightserve recruitment are looking for an experienced Export Clerk for a niche sector Freight Forwarder based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area.

Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities

The core purpose of this role is to be a key–player in the day to day running of the Exports desk.

Organizing/Handling Client shipments for global movements, start to finish.

Liaising with suppliers and clients. Preparing paperwork and handling pre–alerts/post–flights.

Handling Quotes for clients and negotiating best prices with suppliers.

Completing Customs Entries and processes', start to finish, using Sequoia.

Answering and coordinating replies to Overseas agents / Clients, using Outlook.

Raise any issues or concerns with colleagues or line manager regarding Exports.

Providing Support to our other internal teams.

Ad hoc duties.

About You

10 years + Experience in similar role, or one with transferable skills.Keen interest in all modes of transport, primarily Air & Sea with a sprinkle of road.Able to multi task and highly organised.Airfreight Dangerous Goods Trained ( preferred, but not essential)Able to work in a busy office environment. Keen eye for detail.

Willing to take the lead on preparing shipments for success.

Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and written. A flexible/adaptable approach to work.

Self–starter, able to work with minimal supervision.

Knowledge on BoxTop and Sequoia Preferred.

Buyers Consolidations and Some broadcasting experience would be useful.
