I have vast experience of teaching secondary year groups and supporting special needs students. I understand that confidence and feeling safe is vital when encouraging learners. The children within my lessons are encouraged to share and contribute to the class discourse in an open and safe manner. They are encouraged and rewarded for their input, creating a happy, safe learning environment through fun, targeted lessons curated with specific learners in mind. I am a confident and supportive character, who creates classrooms that young people thrive within through my positive, warm and engaging presence. All lessons are devised through adaptive resource development. Lessons are tailored specifically to each child depending on needs and strengths at all levels, including SEN. I have a keen interest to support deeper learning and discussions within my class, and take immense pride in providing young people with the freedom to engage deeper within topics.
