We have a wonderful opportunity for an Experienced Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic team at The Laurels in Lincoln. The team at The Laurels work together to develop person-centred, evidence based rehabilitation care plans that aim to maximise the individual s independence and recovery. The service provides accommodation for 12 residents and there is a garden, which residents are able to help to maintain and a training kitchen to support rehabilitation.
The interdisciplinary team consists of a Rehabilitation Consultant, Neuropsychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. Support is also provided by experienced rehabilitation and therapy assistants. The team at The Laurels work together to develop person-centred, evidence based rehabilitation care plans that aim to maximise the individual s independence and recovery.
What you'll be working:
37.5 hours per week
5 days out of 7
Part of on call rota
What you'll be doing:
Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary team colleagues
Keep up to date with new treatment methods and be actively involved in research projects relating to specialist area
Provide support and guidance for junior staff and advice with complex cases where necessary assisting in the treatment of such cases
Evaluate effectiveness of service and carry out audits where required
Be responsible for department training and contribute to training and development of all staff
Ensure risk management and safety procedures are in place for the OT Department and adhered to
Provide highly specialist OT intervention for complex caseload in your specialist area
Develop and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues, visitors and carers
What you'll have:
A relevant degree in Occupational Therapy
HCPC Registration
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
