GBP32,000 pa (24 months employment contract) 7.5% pension contribution by St James's with .5% contribution by the employee; 25 days annual leave plus public holidays.
St James's, Piccadilly, is a Sir Christopher Wren church in the heart of St James's and Mayfair. We create a range of high-profile events that target our local areas from gala dinners to gallery receptions. St James's is at an important moment in its 339-year history as we aim to raise GBP20million for a new capital project ('The Wren Project') to fully restore the church, the garden and courtyard. Over the coming year, our events include our garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, our annual Gala at Spencer House, and the inaugural Gala Dinner in New York to formally launch the American Friends of St James's. The Events Manager role provides great opportunities to be part of an exciting programme of events. You should have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing; be able to represent St James's Church within and outside the wider church and have a strong ability to work as part of a team and in sympathy with the church's aims and ethos - refer to our website
