Position: Events Manager
Location: London, Hybrid
Hours: Full and part-time hours considered (21hrs+)
Salary: GBP38,805 (FTE) (pro rata for part time hours)
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
You will have an influential role within the organisation, ensuring that events help to advance the strategic aims of assuring world-class standards of psychotherapy and raising the profile of the profession.
Your expertise and organisational skills will help UKCP to fashion and mould a well-rounded programme of events that are creative, engaging, accessible and inclusive, and will culminate in a small autumn annual conference.
Key responsibilities will include:
Work with the Board of Trustees and Senior Management Team, create, develop and implement an ongoing events programmeContribute to the successful delivery of the organisations overall communications strategyPlan and manage internal and external events, conferences and meetings from start to finishCollaborate with a range of stakeholders, lead and manage meetings with these stakeholders and integrate feedback into the event planning processUse the organisation's branding, house style, communications strategies and key themes and messaging to shape the medium and delivery of online and in-person eventsEmbed equality and diversity considerations into activitiesDevelop and deliver online events, meetings, and livestream broadcastsGuide members, colleges, committees and faculties through the event planning process efficiently and effectivelyWork with external partners and suppliersSeek income generating opportunities where possible, through sponsorship and advertising.
About You
As Events Manager, Ideally, you will have previous experience of organising events both online and in-person, and of promotion and advertising. You will be able to work effectively with a broad range of colleagues, external partners and suppliers.
You will also have:
Previous event management and promotional experience.Proven experience of event advertising and promotion.Experience of managing online and in-person events.Experience in budget management, ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support project goals.Proven ability to plan, organise, and execute a diverse range of events, demonstrating attention to detail and effective project management skills.Demonstrated capability to engage effectively with internal teams, external partners and event participantsCommitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), ethical standards and professional conduct
The organisation
The organisation is the leading professional body for psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Alongside offering professional support for our members we regulate the profession and promote access to psychotherapy for all.
This is an exciting time to join as the organisation are currently consulting on a new organisational strategy, to be launched in autumn 2024.
