We are looking for an experienced and creative Events Manager to join our team and organise memorable events for our clients. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing various types of events, such as weddings, conferences, festivals, exhibitions and parties.
As an Events Manager, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and provide them with personalised solutions that suit their budget and vision. You will also liaise with vendors, suppliers, venues and staff to ensure the smooth running of the events.
To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for events and a flair for design. You should also have excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:• Meet with clients to discuss their event requirements, objectives and preferences• Conduct market research and site visits to find suitable venues and suppliers• Prepare detailed proposals and quotations for the events, including timelines, budgets, services and contracts• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best deals and quality• Coordinate all aspects of the event planning and management, such as catering, entertainment, transportation, security, equipment, staff and guests• Supervise the on–site delivery of the events, ensuring they run smoothly and according to plan• Handle any issues or problems that may arise during or after the events• Evaluate the success of the events and collect feedback from clients and attendees• Maintain a database of contacts and leads for future business opportunities
Requirements:• Proven experience as an Events Manager or similar role in the hospitality or event industry• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in event management• Proficiency in MS Office and event management software• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills• Strong negotiation and problem–solving skills• Excellent organisational and time management skills• Attention to detail and quality• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed• Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality or related field is preferred
