Role Overview - Estimator (Electrical)

As an Estimator at our client's firm, you'll play a pivotal role in accurately assessing costs and resources in the electrical domain. You'll closely collaborate with project management and business development teams to create competitive bids and proposals aligned with client needs and industry standards. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and project coordination skills will ensure project profitability and success.

Responsibilities - Estimator (Electrical)

Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand scope and requirements.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and sub-contractors to gather essential information for precise cost estimates and project planning.Prepare comprehensive material lists, labour estimates, take-offs, and pertinent data for diverse electrical projects.Utilise industry-standard estimating software and tools to ensure accuracy and consistency in cost estimates.Source quotes from suppliers and sub-contractors to determine material and labour costs effectively.Identify potential project risks and challenges, incorporating them into comprehensive cost estimates.Participate in bid review meetings to discuss pricing strategies, project scope, and proposal details.Monitor project progress, track expenses, and update cost estimates as needed.Maintain well-organised records of estimating data, cost breakdowns, and project documents. Experienced electrician with excellent technical knowledge.Understanding of electrical systems, materials, codes, and regulations.Proficiency in using estimating software and competent with Microsoft word, excel, project, access, and power point. What's in it for you?
