Description

We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer–centric organisation, investing in our existing homes – including our zero–carbon journey – as well as building new homes.

Here at Havebury Housing, we are looking for an Estates Ranger! Your role is critical to Havebury, maintaining safe and attractive places to live. You will work in partnership with teams across the business, contractors and community representatives to deliver a high level of service to the communities we serve. You will play a vital role in risk identification, management and mitigation – a close attention to detail, high level of integrity and the ability to problem solve is essential.

Outline of Key Responsibilities

Work in support of the Neighbourhood and Estates Coordinators in delivering a comprehensive service offer to our tenants, using the housing management system to aid robust tracking; manage and investigate breaches of tenancy and assist residents in sustaining their tenancies; Ensure our tenants are supported by signposting to support agencies; Investigate reports of abandoned properties, boundary and neighbourhood disputes, untidy gardens and sub–letting; Take all necessary action to minimise loss of rental income/and or unauthorised occupation.Carry out periodic Health, Safety & fire assessments and testing of fire safety management systems in residential blocks to maintain compliancy. Conduct ad–hoc and scheduled inspections of our property and land, monitor and implement the actions arising from the assessments.Work alongside the Neighbourhood and Estates Officers and Coordinators in responding to issues reported by residents quickly and efficiently 'right first time'. Positively act on tenant feedback complaints and queries.Manage abandoned or inappropriately parked vehicles, fly–tipping and graffiti, and carry out visits to ASB complainants and perpetrators taking any necessary follow up action. Assist with the management of void properties (including garages). Attend garage and house evictions, co–ordinate storage and collection of evicted tenants belongings. Good IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft packages, MS Word and MS Excel and able to use mobile technology such as tablets, PDA's etc. to gather, record and use business and customer information to complete tasksGood verbal communication skills, able to communicate clearly with people of all backgrounds using a variety of methods.Is a team player with a resilient personality, who is flexible and adaptable, and responds positively to change and new working practicesDriving Licence – able to travel around sitesBasic standard of education with good numeracy and literacy skills Benefits
