Hays are delighted to have been instructed by Leigh Trust to recruit an Estates Manager to join their central team. The trust currently consists of five thriving primary schools with ambitious plans to grow in the coming years. Leigh Trust pride themselves on their inclusive and supportive culture, and on creating opportunities for both students and staff to flourish. Their new Estates Manager will be based from their central office located at Nansen Primary School, in Central Birmingham, and visit the other neighbouring schools frequently.
Your new role
This is a newly created client side role, taking overall responsibility for all aspects of Estates Management including health and safety, procurement, contracts, compliance and legislation. Working closely with the CEO, you develop the Trust's ongoing Estates strategy as well as embedding best practice across the multi–site estate. You will play a pivotal role in creating safe, effective, operational spaces where young people can thrive and succeed.
What you'll need to succeed
This role will suit someone with facilities and estates management experience in a similar setting and with similar significant levels of accountability. You will have previously worked across a multi–site complex estate and have a deep understanding of facilities management and relevant legislation and processes. You will have a NEBOSH qualification and project management experience and have previously managed health, safety and compliance. You will be a creative, innovative and collaborative individual who celebrates diversity and is committed to the safe–guarding and welfare of young people.
