St Christopher's School is a fantastic indpendent school situated in the leafy area of hampstead, and just a short walk from Belzie Park tube. They are seeking an accomplished and motivated Estates manager to oversee the maintenance and development of the school. If you are a seasoned professional with a proven track record in estates management, then this could be for you.

Position Overview:

This is a newly created vacancy that will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the physical infrastructure of St Christopher's School. This position requires someone with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating and sustaining a safe and conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities Maintenance:

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of school buildings, grounds, and equipment. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule and conduct regular inspections. Coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely and efficient resolution of maintenance issues.

Project Management:

Manage and oversee construction and renovation projects on school premises alongside the Bursar, along with budget management Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Provide regular updates on project progress to senior management.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement appropriate policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards. Work closely with relevant authorities to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Procurement and Lettings

Manager external lettings of the School premises during school holidays Take responsibility for all facilities related procurement, including minor works, transport, furniture

Team Leadership:

Lead and inspire the premises and cleaning team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Provide training and professional development opportunities for team members. Collaborate with other departments to achieve common goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in estates or facilities management, preferably in an educational setting. Strong project management skills with a successful track record of overseeing construction and renovation projects. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong budget management and financial acumen. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
