Your new companyMy client specialises in waste management and their senior team includes ex–regulators with over 30 years' experience. They work nationally with a client base of 500+ businesses in the waste, agriculture and general industries.They are able to take on any project, no matter the scale. They can discuss ideas, provide advice and reach goals whilst remaining within environmental and planning law. They can help clients gain permissions and can assist business in all other areas of environmental management.
Your new roleAs a Senior Permitting Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance to clients in navigating waste permitting regulations and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong regulatory background in waste and a deep understanding of the permitting process.Main Responsibilities:Production and management of permit applications primarily for waste management facilities and minerals developments including:
Managing determination processManaging legislative issues for clients and maintaining an awareness of how legislation impacts projectsInterpreting data and report writingCommunicating with clients and external parties to progress projectsVisiting site where necessary What you'll need to succeed
A background in Environmental Permitting, or Company Environmental Department, with demonstrable experience post–graduation – ideally in a consultancy or regulatory background (preferably 2 years);A relevant degree/ Masters;Must be able to work to deadlines and budgets, manage own workload as well as have good project managing skills to work within a team;Driving license – most sites are remote from public transport.
