My aim as a tutor is always to ensure that students have a better understanding of what they may have been struggling with before, I come up with new and exciting ways to teach and always keep learning as fun as I can but making sure the aim is to make children confident and have a positive outlook on work. I used to work at a tuition centre for 2 years, here I would teach 11 plus and children of all ages, as well as this I have been private tutoring for 3+ years overall I get positive feedback from both children and parents. If needed I provide extra resources such as worksheets etc for children to take home and try their best to complete it.
I do assign homework weekly as I think it is extremely important to develop a child's initiative and how they can tackle questions independently. From giving homework I also gain an understanding of the child's progress on that certain topic we have covered and if further practice is needed then I make sure that we tackle the topic till they are fully confident with it.
My gcse students who have received their results have done extremely well, one of my students started at a 4 when she came to me and achieved a 6, I never give up on my students and always have faith in them to achieve the best grades :)
