English teacher needed in a secondary school in Shropshire. Immediate start. Your new school

This is an OFSTED rated ‘outstanding’ school in Shrewsbury, which provides a high standard of education for students aged 11 to 16. The school is dedicated to ensuring students are given the skills to excel not just academically, but also personally, socially and academically. Whilst the school provides a high level of education, they also set high standards for their students. This school also believes in progress through healthy, friendly, competition using a house points system. The school also prides itself on the pastoral support they offer for both its students and staff.

The school is located within 3 miles of the centre of Shrewsbury and is easily commutable by public transport, with it being only 20 minutes by bus from Shrewsbury Railway Station.

Due to the interim, the school requires English cover from January for the term.

Your new role

This would be a full-time role 5 days a week, acting on a temporary basis. The role would require an experienced English teacher who is able to deliver engaging lessons to help the students’ progress towards their goals and help reach their full potential, whilst furthering your experience and developing your teaching skills.

As well as delivering English lessons, you would also be required to keep track of students’ progress and provide a positive environment, whilst also engaging with other faculty members to maintain standards within the school.

What you'll need to succeed

If you possess a QTS or QTLS or you have just completed your PGCE and have previous experience teaching English within a Secondary Education environment, this may be the role for you.
