Engineering Project Engineer / Manager
Salary Guide: To 55,000 pa
Hours: 40-hour week, Mon - Fri: 8.30am - 5.00pm
Location: In the Cambourne - Huntingdon area (Cambridgeshire / Bedfordshire)

Job Overview:
Due to continued growth, this respected, established market leader in Food Processing Equipment manufacture is seeking an Engineering Project Engineer to join their existing projects team.
The Engineering Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The candidate should have a strong background in process engineering, hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid mechanics, AutoCAD, industrial machinery, and P&ID.
As the Project Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for the customer throughout the life of the project, up to, and even beyond, the successful close out of the project.
This is an office-based role but will require visits to customer sites. Overnight UK trips, and overseas travel may also be a requirement of this position.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Ensure that project scope is clearly communicated to the internal Design and Manufacturing teams, and milestone dates agreed, to ensure that there is no delay to the design or build of equipment.
Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments to determine the viability of new projects.
Capture any changes to the project scope and liaise with the sales team to ensure any additional costs quoted.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and user manuals.
Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Essential Requirement:
Significant experience in process engineering, industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid mechanics, steam services and P&ID.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD LT and other engineering software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
UK Driving Licence required.
Have your own transport due to the Clients location.
We do require candidates to live within a commutable distance from the Huntingdon - Cambridge area and be able to travel to the client site where the role is based in the UK and this is not a remote role".
