Role Title: Operative
Location: Ambergate (Onsite parking available)
Duration: Initial 6 Months – Potential for permanent opportunity
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm (with 3:30pm finish every Friday!)
Salary: Circa GBP36,000 per annum (+ bonus and benefits)

JOB PURPOSE
To undertake maintenance and engineering activity on a range of PMC equipment including recompression, welding, generators, and power packs as part of the Ambergate Maintenance team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are safe, maintained, tested, and calibrated where required and all legislative requirements are complied with.Deliver maintenance tasks on schedule and to the appropriate standards.Ensure any faults or defects identified are resolved.Work with the Maintenance Technicians / Assistants to ensure that the inspection requirements of pressure systems (PSSR) are delivered.Ensure all tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.Proactively support the PMC team in wider initiatives and workload to ensure the overall business objectives are met.Provide appropriate records to the Maintenance Officer to ensure work orders are closed out correctly. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
In depth technical knowledge of Engineering requirements and associated maintenanceIn depth technical knowledge of relevant codes of practice, and engineering instructions.Practical experience of maintenance of tooling and equipment.Undertaking work within Safe Systems of Work including Risk AssessmentAbility to use computerised systems for accessing information and inputting key data such as maintenance records.Understanding of relevant discipline Legislative RequirementsUnderstanding of Health & Safety Legislative Requirements If you believe you have the experience required, please apply with your CV now for instant consideration!
