Senior/ Energy Consultant - REMOTE, FREQUENT SITE TRAVEL ACROSS UK

Operating as an independent consultancy, offering a range of services to a diverse portfolio of high-profile commercial clients is looking for an Energy Consultant to join the team, who is a self-starter and independent and confident in their work.
Purpose of the Role
Join our dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of Decarbonisation, Compliance, and Energy Management services. The role, primarily home-based, involves occasional attendance at our Basingstoke office and regular travel to client sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Work within the Energy Management team, supporting all three consultancy teams.
Conduct ESOS audits and decarbonisation studies.
Assist clients in managing and reducing energy consumption through detailed understanding of their buildings and processes.
Undertake Energy Audits and site surveys to identify efficiency improvements and feasible decarbonization options.
Present findings to clients, write reports, chair meetings, and engage in regular energy reporting activities.
Support the development of corporate energy and carbon reduction strategies.
Contribute to ad hoc queries and potentially engage in business development activities.
Key Attributes
Strong report writing and communication skills.
Proven ability in client engagement and management.
Highly organized with the capability to set and work to deadlines and budgets.
Solid building services knowledge with experience in conducting unaccompanied site visits and energy audits.
Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Record of delivering projects to a high standard independently.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or a Mathematical science (Building Services or Energy Engineering preferable).
Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE).
Current UK driving license.
Advantageous Qualifications and Experience
Industrial process energy efficiency and process mapping.
Development of corporate-level carbon and energy strategies.
ESOS lead assessor qualification.
Production of SECR reports and reporting methodologies.
Experience with Microsoft PowerBI.
Site energy metering systems experience.
Knowledge of GHG protocol and carbon reporting scopes.
Practical knowledge of on-site renewable energy and low carbon heating technologies.
Use of Energy Modelling software such as RETScreen and IES VE.
Life Cycle Cost Analysis and Marginal Abatement Cost Curves.
Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
